Ray is originally from Jackson, Mississippi,  but has called Birmingham home for many years. He is the owner of FlowerBuds in Cahaba Heights. George Ballentine‘s The Nutcracker is the seventh ballet that he has appeared in with the Alabama Ballet Company.  He is also a life time member of the Alabama Ballet Board of Trustees.
