Co-facilitating Finance & HR Staff

Alicia Gonzalez recently joined the San Francisco Symphony as Interim Human Resources Director, and prior to that was the Director of Human Resources with the San Diego Symphony. During her career, Alicia has focused on Organizational Development, with roles in Training and HR Consultation. Alicia holds a Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Jose State University. With a knack for recruiting top talent, Alicia truly enjoys being a strategic HR business partner with a focus in organizational development, employee relations, and compliance and is fascinated with the challenge that comes from practicing Human Resources in California. Outside of her work with the Symphony, Alicia founded and runs a non-profit youth theatre within her community. The volunteer-run group presents full-scale stage productions with youth actors ages 4-16 up to three times per year. Although not a musician herself, Alicia is well aware that her soul is fueled by music and the Arts and is dedicated to keeping the passion alive in her colleagues and their commitment to their work.
