David Irizarry
Francis Flute

David is excited and incredibly grateful to be tackling Shakespeare in the cast of A Midsummer Night’s Dream! He is a senior here at Sacred Heart University, majoring in communication disorders and double minoring in honors and theatre arts. Some of his previous acting credits at SHU include Torch Song (Arnold), American Idiot (Joshua/Favorite Son), A New Brain (Mr. Bungee), and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Christopher). David also made his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, performing in the Sacred Heart Repertory Theatre Company’s production of Crapp’s River (David Peony). Outside of performing, David also enjoys poetry, playwriting, and spilling tea with the girls at the dining hall. David would like to dedicate his performance to his high school theatre director, Amy Kate Byrne, who introduced him to Shakespeare and inspired his love of the art form.  He would also like to dedicate his performance to his friends and family for their endless support. He truly couldn’t have made it here without them. Congratulations to the entire company <3 Instagram: @davidirizarry55
