Betsy co-created and directed the original Off-Broadway production of “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” which has been produced nationally, internationally and right here at Sacred Heart University. She also wrote/choreographed “The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical” for its premiere at Stages Repertory Theatre in Houston, adapted the British musicals “Girl’s Night” and “Girl Talk” for their U.S. tours and was recently nominated for Denver’s Henry Award for Outstanding New Play or Musical for “Stocking Stuffers.” On TV, Betsy wrote and produced for WWE on Monday Night RAW, Smackdown and Wrestlemania, developed TV series for Warner Bros., MTV, Universal Music Group and DreamWorks, and can be seen in the first season of Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana. Other credits include the short film Church & State, featuring Martin Starr, the U.S. tour of “Just for Laughs: A Day with Gates & Mills,” starring Tim Conway and Tom Poston, and the European tour of “The Rocky Horror Show.” Here in CT, where she grew up, Betsy has directed shows at Center Stage (“The Play That Goes Wrong,” “Avenue Q”), and she is very excited to be working with SHU’s Theatre Arts Program for the first time!
