Dan Lauria is an American actor, who has appeared in over 70 television episodic programs and more than 20 Movie Of The Week productions. Lauria is best known for his portrayal of Jack Arnold, the stern but loving father on the TV series The Wonder Years. He also played NASA Administrator James Webb in the 1998 TV miniseries From the Earth to the Moon and a commanding officer, USA in the 1996 movie Independence Day. In 2012, Lauria played the part of Jean Shepherd in the Broadway production of A Christmas Story: The Musical, a role that he reprised off-Broadway at Madison Square Garden in 2013. His film credits include Stakeout, Another Stakeout, the Frank Miller production of Will Eisner’s, The Spirit and the cult comedy Alien Trespass.
