Liz Zimmerman (Storyteller and Deviser) is a theatre artist, educator, and coach with more than three decades of experience on stage and off. Liz has performed, directed, and taught in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and many spaces in between. She is a co-founder of Shades of Orange, an experimental theatre company based in Indiana, and the Founder and CEO of The Drama Spot, a theatre education company dedicated to making theatre accessible and enjoyable for all. Liz firmly believes that everyone can and should experience the profound and lasting benefits of participating in theatre. Across her career, she has brought a physical, character-driven sensibility to everything from classical work to new play development, including this adaptation of Peter and the Wolf, which she devised with the collaborative support of the Austin Symphony Orchestra. Liz holds a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Maryland and a Certificate in Shakespearean Performance from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
