is the Executive Producer of Prather Productions which is the parent company of APEX Touring, Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre (FL) and Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre (PA) producing over 32 shows per year in their in-house facilities. He is a second-generation theatre producer following in the footsteps of his parents, Tom and Debbie Prather, who produced live theatre for over 58 years. A graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, he returned to the family business in 1993 after spending a couple of years in the corporate world. In 2008, he created Prather Touring with the tour of Beehive: The 60’s Musical. Since then, additional successful tours followed which include Footloose, The Wedding Singer, BLAST, Fiddler on the Roof, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Memphis, and Million Dollar Quartet. Recently, APEX Touring was created in a partnership that brought larger tours of Pippin, the Tony Award winning musical, Cabaret, Finding Neverland, Once, the Musical and Summer: The Donna Summer Musical to audiences. The Wizard of Oz tour performed in the United States and then performed internationally in China, the Kingdom of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia- with the honor of being the first live performance of a Broadway show in KSA. Mr. Prather is an avid philanthropist for the communities where his theatres reside, and serves on many Board of Directors.
