Uilleann Pipes / Low Whistle / Tin Whistle / Concertina

Tara Howley, a multi-award winning instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and composer from Kilfenora, Co. Clare studied both classical and traditional music and has thirteen All Ireland gold medals to her name. She was the first female piper to perform with Riverdance and is the uilleann piper with the show for the past 6 years. She has toured extensively in Europe, Asia, North America and most recently in the 3Arena, Dublin and Radio City Music Hall, New York. Tara recorded live with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra as a soloist on the uilleann pipes and whistle and is part of the ensemble for Bill Whelan’s Riverdance: The 25th Anniversary Album. Tara performed with the Grammy nominated ‘Afro Celt Sound System’, Sir James Galway, Bill Whelan and an exclusive concert for Stephen Spielberg. She recorded pieces for the sound track for the documentary ‘John Hume in America’ (2017). Tara’s new album of original songs and tunes will be released in 2022. @tarahowleymusic
