Kristina Ancil Edwards received her formal training with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and went on to perform professionally across genres with Louisville Ballet, American National Ballet, Chicago Ballet, Albany Berkshire Ballet, Peoria Ballet, Nomi Dance Company, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Winifred Haun & Dancers, ClancyWorks, Company E, Motion X Dance DC, and more. A passionate advocate for functional technique, Kristina believes ballet is for every BODY. She has taught throughout Chicago, D.C., and Virginia, including at Visceral Dance Center, The Washington School of Ballet, BalletNova, and as adjunct faculty at George Mason University. She is Progressing Ballet Technique certified (since 2022) and a member of AGMA since 2008. She has choreographed works for companies in Chicago, D.C., and Richmond. Since relocating to Richmond in 2018, she has taught at VCU, West End Academy of Dance, and performs with Conflux Dance Theater. Kristina has proudly served as an Artistic Associate with Charlottesville Ballet since 2019.
