Welcome to Charlottesville Ballet’s 18th Season! Since our debut of The Nutcracker Suite in 2010, this beloved holiday tradition has continued to evolve, bringing new life to the stage each year through live music, vibrant costumes, and original choreography. Our 2025 production features more than 280 performers across multiple casts, including dancers, singers, and musicians from throughout Central Virginia.

This season, we are thrilled to present a refreshed Party and Battle Scene in Act I with new choreography by Mary Hein, who celebrates twelve years with Charlottesville Ballet. These scenes feature beautiful new costumes, delightful new characters, and expanded roles for our growing roster of professional and community dancers.

Our vision for The Nutcracker is built on collaboration. As Co-Founders, we are proud to work alongside Mary Hein, Ty Cooper Grace, Heather Rogers, and Caitlin Lennon, forming a creative team that blends artistry, imagination, and shared purpose. Together with our extraordinary company of artists, we strive to bring a production that continues to inspire and enchant audiences year after year.
