Natalie grew up in New Mexico, training with Alwin’s School of the Dance and Aspen Santa Fe Ballet. In high school, she moved to Chicago as a Marsha and Phillip Dowd Scholarship recipient at the School of Ballet Chicago, performing works like Serenade, Theme and Variations, and Concerto Barocco. She holds a BA in Fine Arts and Political Science from the University of New Mexico, where she studied under Mary Anne Santos Newhall and performed works by Wigman and McKayle. In NYC, she was mentored by Gelsey Kirkland and trained with Irina Kolpakova and Susan Jaffe. Natalie has danced with Continuum Contemporary Ballet, David Fernandez Dance, and more. She has taught for over 20 years at schools including Steps on Broadway, Ballet Chicago, and Denver School of the Arts. Now based in Charlottesville, she is pursuing a master’s in Psychology at Harvard Extension and inspires students to work hard, stay curious, and love the art of dance.
