Based in Mechanicsville, VA, Casey’s passion for dance began at the age of two. After relocating to Central Virginia at age nine, she trained at Shuffles Dance Studio, honing her skills in jazz, tap, and lyrical dance. By early high school, she was assisting classes and began teaching at 17. In 2008, Casey graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Social Work, but her passion has always been teaching dance. In 2009, she started teaching at The Dance Company in Mechanicsville during their pilot year of classes and began her training in ballet, hip hop, and contemporary genres.  She has now been on faculty at The Dance Company for over 15 years and has been teaching for a total of more than 20 years. Casey has contributed as a guest instructor in several CBA outreach programs and participated in the 2024 Summer Intensive. She has been the Patron Services Associate since August of 2024 and enjoys working the front of house at the Ballet’s performances.
