Tabitha is a Virginia native working professionally as an engineer and part-time as an instructor for CBA. Tabitha received her early dance education at Barton & Williams School of Dance in Stafford, VA with Elizabeth Gaus (Joffrey Ballet). She then studied ballet at James Madison University and competed with the JMU “Dukettes” dance team while completing a physics degree. She has taught and coached for over 20 years, including for the Virginia Dance Team and obtained degrees in materials science & engineering from UVA. Tabitha specializes in jazz fusion styles such as contemporary and hip hop, focusing on coordination and extension with young dancers and performance quality and technique with aspiring and former adult professional dancers. Tabitha’s classes are energetic, positive and challenging. She incorporates Pilates and yoga-based movements into warm-ups with modern styling and contemporary music influences in across-the floor exercises and fast-paced choreography. Tabitha teaches predominantly to ages 10-Adult and her daughters take class with CBA as well!
