Act I

Act II – The Restaurant
Kitri and Basilio take refuge in a lively restaurant, where dancers and entertainers fill the space with vibrant energy. Don Quixote and Sancho Panza soon arrive, followed closely by Doña Lorenza, who is determined to keep the young couple apart and steer Kitri toward other suitors.
Amid the bustling atmosphere of music and dance, emotions run high as Kitri and Basilio fight to remain together. Don Quixote, ever the champion of love and justice, offers his support, helping to shift the course of events in their favor.
As the scene draws to a close, Don Quixote is swept into another of his imagined adventures—the famous battle with a towering windmill, which he believes to be a fearsome giant. Though the encounter leaves him weary, his spirit remains unshaken.
Act III – The Dream Scene
Exhausted from the excitement—and his battle with the windmill—Don Quixote falls into a deep sleep. In his dream, he enters a magical and serene world filled with ethereal figures and graceful dancers.
Here, he encounters Dulcinea, the embodiment of his idealized vision of love, surrounded by attendants who move with beauty and harmony. This dream reflects Don Quixote’s inner world—one of imagination, hope, and unwavering belief in goodness.
Act IV – The Wedding
The ballet concludes with a joyful wedding celebration for Kitri and Basilio. Friends and villagers gather to honor the couple with lively dances full of Spanish flair and festive spirit.
Don Quixote and Sancho Panza attend the celebration, content that they have helped bring about a happy ending. As the festivities draw to a close, Don Quixote continues on his journey, ever in pursuit of adventure and guided by his boundless imagination.
