Melissa Sturgis (Mrs. Peacock) is thrilled to be making her CentreStage debut as Mrs. Peacock with this fabulous cast. Previously seen as Ouiser in Steel Magnolias at Mill Town Players, Melissa and her husband Doug chose to retire to the Greenville area from Alaska and are so happy to call it home.  She is the Manager of the Simpsonville Arts Center and has a Master’s in Theatre from BGSU, studied Acting at Lee Strasberg’s Theater Institute in NYC and was an Intern/Observer at The Actor’s Studio NYC.  She was a member of the Summer Stock Company of The Huron Playhouse and Stages Repertory in Houston.   Some of her favorite roles include Rizzo in “Grease”, April in “Hot l Baltimore”, Sarah in “Company” and Jane in “Kind Sir”. Deeply grateful to her husband and kids for encouraging her to return to the stage and to her 5 siblings for putting up with all her dramatic childhood shenanigans. #Babiesofthefamilyunite ☺
