Genesis Garza (Scenic Designer) is currently the Technical Director at the South
Carolina Children’s Theatre, holds an MFA from Michigan State University in design, and is a lighting and scenic designer. Credits include for lighting design; Center Stage IS HE DEAD, and their annual rock concert JUKEBOX HEROES, Williamston Theatre CHIPPATTI, TUNA DOES VEGAS (Honorary Wilde award mention), SHIRLEY VALENTINE, FRANKIE AND JOHNNY IN THE CLAIR DE LUNE, THE DEAD GUY, MIRACLE ON SOUTH DIVISION STREET (Wilde award nomination). DRIVING MISS DAISY at the Performance Network and the remount at the City Theater; THE PRODUCERS, and DEATH OF A SALESMAN at Saginaw Valley State University, Traveling production of HAMLET for Warehouse Theatre, INTO THE WOODS and SPITFIRE GRILL for North Greenville University, Greenville Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday at Peace concert. Recent Scenic design credits include CHRISTMAS ON THE ROCKS at Warehouse Theatre, INTO THE WOODS and MACBETH at North Greenville University, and ANNIE, and THE SOUND OF MUSIC at South Carolina Children’s Theatre.
