Jacob Seay (Buddy Holly) This is Jacob’s second show with Centre Stage after appearing in Once (Andrej) earlier this season. Other recent roles include: The Great Gatsby (Nick Carraway), and We Will Rock You (Ensemble) (SLT). Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Jacob is a recent graduate from Anderson University as well as a first-year ELA teacher in Spartanburg County. Since hearing “American Pie” by Don Mclean at a young age, Jacob has held an immense interest in Buddy Holly’s life and music. It is a tremendous honor to portray Buddy in this show and bring his story and humanity to life. Jacob would like to thank Connor Vetter, this amazing cast, and the entire production team for handling this story with the respect and care it deserves. A special shoutout to Mary Thalassinos, his fantastic friends, his Once family, and his real family for all the ceaseless love and support.
