Mat was last seen at the DRT as Colonel Arbuthnot in this season's Murder on the Orient Express. He also directed The Boys Night Door and acted in Cactus Flower and Beau Jest all at the DRT. Other projects; A Midsummer Night’s Queen, Much Ado About Nothing, The Pillowman, Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead  Frost/Nixon, Arcadia, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot and Dancing at Lughnasa.
