Frank S. Petrilli (Director) last directed for Curtain Call his original two act comedy, A Christmas on Mulberry Street . Also at Curtain Call, he has directed The Lion in Winter, The Guys, Crossing Delancey, Isn’t It Romantic, Lovers & Other Strangers and Play It Again, Sam, as well as the original musicals: Music Is My Fist, and Top of the Heap by Lodin & Squire. He was also the Creative Director of Curtain Call’s “Staged Eatings” Concert-Reading Series in the Dressing Room Theater. Locally, Frank has directed at Stamford Theatre Works, Falcon Repertory Company, The Pound Ridge Theater Company, Greenwich Repertory Company, The Acting Company, Diamond Hill Theater, The Town Players of New Canaan & STAGE II, Cameo Theater, The Reimhold Theater, and The Sterling Barn Theater Complex (Al Pia, Artistic Director). In New York City, Frank is the founding Producing Artistic Director of The Acme Stage Company; was the Artistic Director at Theatre Ten Ten (the oldest Actors Equity Association approved off-off Broadway Showcase Theater Company in Manhattan). He also directed at The Chelsea Playhouse, The Lamb “Little Theater” at 44th Street, Studio 1 at Weist Barron, the Ted Bardy Studio Theatre in Chelsea, Sardi’s New Play- Reading Series, and The Belmont Italian-American Playhouse in the Bronx. In Los Angeles, he was the Managing Artistic Director of the Oakwood Players at the original Actors’ Alley Theatre. He was also a guest- director/artist/instructor at Western Connecticut State University, Sacred Heart University, The University of Bridgeport, Manhattanville College, Greenwich and Stamford High Schools, the Stamford Board of Education Summer Theatre, The Powerhouse Theater, and Curtain Call; in New York City at Weist Barron Studios, John Robert Powers Academy, A Place for Actors (APA), and Shelter Studios. Frank’s affiliations are with the Stage Directors & Choreographers Society, The Dramatists Guild, and as an associate-member of the Writers Guild of America, East prior to the Guild’s retirement of the associate program.
