Tieyin Li is a junior at the Manhattan School of Music, studying under the esteemed tutelage of Shirley Close and Christopher Nomura, where he has been awarded a prestigious scholarship. He has showcased his talent in a range of operatic and musical theatre productions, including "Don Giovanni," "Elixir of Love," "The Merry Widow," "Falstaff," and the musicals "Guys and Dolls" and "Kismet" as part of the school's Opera Scene.
In 2023, Tieyin was honored to be invited to the Classic Lyric Arts Festival in Italy, where he received a scholarship to perform as Mustafa in Rossini's "The Italian Girl in Algiers" and Publio in Mozart's "La Clemenza di Tito." His dedication and artistry were further recognized in 2024 when he won third prize at the Qingdao International Opera Festival. Tieyin continues to passionately pursue his career in opera, captivating audiences with his expressive performances.
