Byron Laing

Byron Laing debuted as soloist with the Oregon Symphony at age 16. First prize winner of the Charleston International New Years Competition and the National Federation of Music Clubs Collegiate Competition, Byron was the Sage Academy Fellow at the Music Institute of Chicago Academy. Byron studied as a Jacobs Scholar and Founders Scholar with Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University, earning Bachelor's degrees with high distinction in violin performance and international studies. Most recently, Byron was named the Kathryn Davis Fellow for Peace at the Middlebury German School.
