Violinist, Frances Norton is a first-year masters student at the University of Michigan, where she studies with Aaron Berofsky. Originally from North Carolina, Frances completed her undergraduate degree at UNC Chapel Hill, where she studied Music and English. At UNC, she graduated with highest distinction and was awarded the David Aarons Award for Excellence in Musical Performance and the Benjamin Swalin Orchestra Award. She has spent inspiring summers at Bowdoin International Music Festival (2023), the Luby Violin Symposium (2023), Boston University Tanglewood Institute (2019), and Kinhaven Music School (2017, 2018). In her free time, Frances enjoys baking, re-reading books, and going on walks.
