Lekai Li, a 19-year-old cellist, studies with Richard Aaron at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She started playing the cello when she was 6 years old and then entered to China’s Central Conservatory of Music affiliated school at the age of 9 till 16. At 16 years old, she entered Colburn Academy and studied with Clive Greensmith.
Lekai was invited to the Perlman Music Program Summer School both in 2023 and 2024; Aurora Fine Arts Festival in Sweden in 2017, and the International Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg in 2016 and 2017.
She had master class with Natalia Gutman, Jens Peter Maintz, Maria Kliegel, and Zvi Plesser.etc.
She is the 2nd Place winner of the 4th Singapore International Music Festival-Western Music Competition 2021 and Silver Prize winner of the 12th International Competition for Young String Musicians in Moscow in 2015.
