Maxwell Fairman
Violin

Maxwell Fairman is a 20-year-old violinist from Cincinnati. He made his White House debut at age 12 as part of the string quartet The Perfect Fourth, performing for Michelle Obama. A leader, he has played as concertmaster for the NEC Philharmonia, NEC Symphony, the Chautauqua Music School Festival Orchestra, and the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra. As the first-place winner of the 2021-2022 CSYO Philharmonic Concerto Competition, Maxwell performed solo with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and CSYO. He performed Summerland with Peter Dugan on show 407 of NPR’s From the Top. Maxwell Fairman began playing the violin at age 4 and currently studies with Donald Weilerstein at New England Conservatory on a full-tuition merit scholarship. Maxwell is also an aspiring composer and has had pieces premiered by the Boston Landmarks Orchestra and Castle of Our Skins. In his free time, Maxwell enjoys going on nature walks and playing Terraria.
