Andrew Nguyen
Piano

Andrew Nguyen is a pianist and collaborative artist studying piano under the Marjorie and Robert Rawlins Scholarship with Professor Nina Scolnik at the University of Irvine, California. He has been the top recipients at competitions, including the 2024 Sigma Iota Alpha Scholarship Competition, Kathryn Gawartin Chopin Competition, Lansum International Music Festival, Southwestern Youth Music Festival, CAPMT Honors Competition, MIMA Young Artist Competition, and the Southern California Junior Bach Festival.
 
Andrew has also been featured in notable performances, including Women at the Piano, UCI Honor's Recital, and Upper Bay Philharmonic Society of OC. He was also a participant at the Borromeo Music Festival studying with Professor Angela Cheng. He has participated in masterclasses with Oxana Yablonskaya, Stewart Gordon, Sharon Mann, Julio Elizalde, Hans Boepple, Sarkis Baltaian, and Angela Cheng.

As a collaborative artist, he has worked in chamber settings with Julio Elizalde, Jean Louis Hagenauer, Sarah Koo Freeman, Horacio Contreras, Dennis Kim, and Lorna Griffitt. Andrew has also been selected as one of twenty pianists to attend the Chautauqua Institution’s Piano Program this summer. He will continue his studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with a merit scholarship studying under the guidance of Dr. Sharon Mann.
