Jayon Felizarta is a Filipino-American violinist based in North Carolina studying under Aaron Berofsky at the University of Michigan. Jayon has been awarded prizes for the North Carolina Symphony Concerto Competition, the King’s Peak International Music Competition, and the UNCG Student Concerto Competition. He was awarded 2nd prize and the Audience Choice award at the 2024 Rosen-Schaffel Competition, and won the Eastern Music Festival concerto competition. Jayon has performed as soloist with the Eastern Music Festival Young Artist Orchestra and the Philharmonia of Greensboro. As a North Carolina native, he has been closely involved with the local musical community since his youth, performing with the NC Triangle Youth Symphony, Duke String School Symphony, and Triangle Youth Philharmonic Quartet.
