Based in Charlotte, NC, Nikhil performs in several capacities as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician. He is a winner of the 2022 Young Artists Competition as well as a recipient of the IU Premier Young Artists award. Nikhil has a strong presence in the greater Charlotte area as an active musician, having co-founded both the Charlotte String Quartet in 2025 and Virtuoso Music in 2023, ensembles that have performed in venues from Ferrari dealerships to art showcases. In orchestral settings, he has performed alongside Leslie Odom Jr. and played under the baton of Mike Post. His primary teachers include Itamar Zorman, Joel Smirnoff, and Tatiana Karpova. Nikhil enjoys cooking and baking in his free time, and loves a great movie.
