Alison Du
Piano

Aizhen Du is a pianist who graduated in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Prof. Haewon Song. She received her early musical training at the Music School Attached to the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, studying with Prof. Jay Sun. 
 
Aizhen has appeared in solo and chamber music performances across the United States, Europe, and China. Her recent recital highlights include performances at the Van Cliburn Recital Hall in Fort Worth, Warner Concert Hall at Oberlin Conservatory, and Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura in Spain. She has also performed at the Steinway & Sons Recital Hall and Yamaha Concert Hall in Guangzhou, as well as venues in the United Kingdom and Spain. 
 
A prizewinner in numerous international competitions, Aizhen has received First Prize at the Ninth Hong Kong International Piano Competition and has been recognized in competitions such as the Oberlin Concerto Competition, Wideman Piano Competition, Shenzhen Open Competition, and the American Classical Pianist International Piano Competition. She was also selected for the Top Talent Program at the Music School Attached to the Xinghai Conservatory of Music. 
 
Aizhen has participated in major international music festivals, including the PianoTexas International Festival & Academy and the Gijón International Piano Festival. She has worked in master classes with distinguished artists such as Robert McDonald, Boris Slutsky, Arie Vardi, Vadym Kholodenko, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, William Grant Naboré, Norma Fisher, Douglas Humpherys, and Leslie Howard. 
 
In addition to her performance career, Aizhen is actively engaged in music education and academic service. She has served as a secondary piano instructor, music theory teaching assistant, and student ambassador at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, as well as a piano faculty member at the Avon School of Music. Her artistic interests center on developing a refined and expressive pianistic voice while maintaining a strong commitment to teaching, collaboration, and musical leadership.
