Jingbo Zong is a pianist whose artistic work spans solo performance, collaboration, and historically informed practice. As a prizewinner of international competitions, he received First Prize at the German Youth Piano Star International Piano Competition and First Prize at the Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition, as well as Third Prize at the Magnolia International Music Festival Piano Competition, among other honors. 
 
He has appeared in solo recitals and as a collaborative pianist across several cities in China, including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xuzhou, Lishui, Shaoxing, among others. In 2022, he performed with conductor Zhang Yi and cellist Bingxia Lyu, together with the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra, presenting Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra by Francis Poulenc and The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns. He has also collaborated with trumpet player Edmond Wang, with whom he released the album Velvet Echoes. 
 
He has worked closely with distinguished musicians in masterclasses, including Vladimir Viardo, Hung-Kuan Chen, Matti Raekallio, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Marina Lomazov, Alexander Kobrin, Wei-Yi Yang, and Kate Liu, among others. 
 
He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and a master’s degree in Fortepiano at the University of Michigan, where he studies piano with Arthur Greene and fortepiano with Matthew Bengtson. He also studies chamber music with Amy I-Lin Cheng. He previously completed dual master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Chamber Music at the University of Michigan. He serves as a Graduate Student Instructor and is the recipient of a full scholarship.
