Canadian pianist Susannah Zou is an active solo and chamber musician whose performances span Canada and across Europe, including concerts in France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Portugal. She began her musical studies at the age of five and quickly emerged as a frequent prizewinner in festivals and competitions, earning numerous awards and scholarships. Praised for her sensitive and spirited artistry, she has appeared in distinguished venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Bell Performing Arts Centre (Vancouver), Steinway Piano Gallery Vancouver, the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto, and Maison symphonique de Montréal.

Susannah was a national finalist in the Canadian Music Competition in 2023 and 2025. In 2017, she made her solo debut after winning First Prize at the Crescendo International Music Competition, an achievement that led to her performance at Weill Recital Hall.

In 2024, she was selected as one of only 20 pianists for the inaugural Art of Piano program at the Banff Centre, and later completed an advanced internship at the Académie Francis Poulenc, focusing on the interpretation of French mélodie. Her artistic development has also been shaped through participation in Orford Musique, the Amalfi Coast Music Festival, the Holland International Music Sessions, and a residency at Porto Pianofest.

A devoted collaborator, Susannah is the co-founding pianist of Trio Hiraeth and Duo Avenoir. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with honours from the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the Université de Montréal, supported by a full scholarship. She is a recipient of the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto Centennial Scholarship (2023–2024).
