Ariana Mascari will begin her sophomore year at Manhattan School of Music, in New York in the Fall, studying with Karen Ritscher. She has a passion for chamber music and contemporary composition, and enjoys collaborating with composers, including Jose Eduardo Munoz and Grammy award winning Samuel Torres. Growing up in Chicago, Ariana was a member of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras for 5 years and placed third in the 2021 ILASTA Concerto Competition. Prior to moving to New York, Ariana studied at the Music Institute of Chicago with Sarah Montzka. She is an experienced church musician, who has been performing with her family band each Sunday for the past ten years. This is her first year at Chautauqua!
