Joel Rodeback is a recent graduate of The Juilliard School, where he received a Master of Music degree under the tutelage of Metropolitan Opera Principal Horn Erik Ralske and performed as a member of Juilliard’s graduate brass quintet. Prior to Juilliard, Joel received a Bachelor of Music degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music as a student of legendary Chicago Symphony Principal Horn Dale Clevenger. Joel has performed at concert venues across the United States, including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. As a soloist, he was a finalist in the Jacobs School’s concerto competitions in 2019 and 2020 and was a semifinalist in the 2019 International Horn Competition of America. Away from the horn, he performs as a pianist and organist, and his other interests and hobbies include classic literature and film, exploring New York City’s many museums, and hiking in the mountains of his home state of Utah.
