Demetra Alikakos is a bassoonist from the suburbs of Chicago. She attended DePaul University for her Bachelor’s in Bassoon Performance and Statistics.  During her time at DePaul, she studied with Keith Bucke, Miles Maner and William Buchman. Additionally, in her time at DePaul, Demetra was the music librarian for DePaul Concert Orchestra and the Contemporary Music ensemble. Demetra will be starting her Master’s degree in Bassoon Performance at Rice University this upcoming fall.
