Kaleb’s passion for the double bass was ignited by his middle school orchestra director and first bass teacher, Dan Thompson, in his hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree in music performance from the University of Memphis, where he studied with John Chiego. Kaleb completed his Master’s degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Rachel Calin and served as her graduate teaching assistant.
Kaleb has previously participated in the Aspen Music Festival, the College Light Opera Company, and Hot Springs Music Festival. He recently became a member of the Chattanooga Symphony, and performs regularly as a guest in the bass sections of the Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, Huntsville, and Kentucky Symphonies.
Away from orchestra, Kaleb enjoys creating all kinds of music, being an amateur guitarist, drummer, and audio engineer. He also enjoys many outdoor activities, video editing, cooking, and spending time with family and pets.
