A fluent multi-instrumentalist, Kunal Tiwari is a recent graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with degrees in Euphonium Performance and Arts Management. He has held membership in the Indiana University Wind Ensemble and in the Symphonic band, where he played Principal Euphonium. He also has played bass trumpet with IU's premiere orchestra, the Philharmonic, and as a trombonist played with the IU Brass Choir and various student brass quintets. In 2021, he summered at the Eastern Music Festival, where he won the inaugural Euphonium Concerto Competition. He has also been named a semi-finalist of the Leonard Falcone Competition and the IU concerto competition. Principal teachers include Demondrae Thurman and Carl Lenthe. He will begin studies with Thomas Rüedi at the Hochschule Der Künste Bern in Bern, Switzerland in the fall.
