Sony Ton-Aime is the Michael I. Rudell Director of Literary Arts at Chautauqua Institution, following his initial work at Chautauqua in 2018 and 2019. A Haitian poet, essayist, and translator, in addition to his chapbook, LaWomann, he is the author of the Haitian Creole translation of the book Olympic Hero: The Lennox Kilgour’s Story. He is a co-founding editor of ID13, an online publication that published creative works by inmates he led in poetry workshops at the Lake Erie Correctional Institute. His own works have appeared in Brainchild, La Revista PingPong, The Oakland Review, Dunes Review, Poets.org, and more.
