Hailed by Spot Pocket Opera Theatre as “one of Singapore’s most promising young sopranos”, Phoebe Chee continues to push vocal boundaries as she explores and masters early music through contemporary works. In the last year, Phoebe has won numerous awards such as the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition as a San Francisco District winner, a Regional Encouragement Award, CS Music Vocal Competition and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Concerto Competition. Upcoming roles include singing Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) at Chautauqua Amphitheater; a trip back to Singapore for Lisa (La Sonnambula) with The Opera People; and Pamina (The Magic Flute) with Livermore Valley Opera.
