Jackson Allen
Tenor

Tenor Jackson Allen grew up in Northern Ontario, Canada, where childhood piano lessons kindled his passion for music. He holds a BMus in opera performance from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and a master’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Rhoslyn Jones. This fall, he will pursue postgraduate studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, studying with Jack LiVigni. Recent performance highlights have included the roles of 1. Geharnischter Mann (Mozart, Die Zauberflöte) with the Santa Rosa Symphony; the Magician (Menotti, The Consul), Silvio/Pasquin/Miracle (Bizet, Le docteur Miracle), and Tito (Mozart, La clemenza di Tito), with SFCM; and Dickon (Norman, The Secret Garden), with the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory. Jackson has sung in masterclasses given by artists such as Carrie-Ann Matheson, Nicholas Phan, Brian Zeger, Richard Cox, and Michael Fabiano.

Jackson is the recipient of The Robert Hunt and Mary Campbell Eckhardt Memorial Scholarship and the William and Pauline Higie School of Music Scholarship.
