Nora Wang is a rising junior at the University of Pennsylvania, where she studies with Min-Young Kim, first violinist of the Daedalus Quartet. In addition to her violin studies, she is pursuing a degree in anthropology with minors in music and writing.
As a high school student, Nora studied with Dr. Christina McGann at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University. She was co-concertmaster of the Nashville Youth Symphony and spent several summers at the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival and the Hilton Head Chamber Music Institute.
Nora has recently been engaged as a substitute violinist with the Curtis Institute Orchestra and was a Fellowship recipient at the Aspen Music Festival last summer. She has performed in masterclasses for Jinjoo Cho, Paul Kantor, and the Emerson Quartet.
Nora is the recipient of the Hebrew Congregation Music Award and the Elmer S. and H. Lorraine Sachse Scholarship Fund.
