Izaiah Gonzales is a percussionist from South Texas studying under distinguished professors Michael Burritt, Charles Ross, Rich Thompson, and Mark Hodges at the Eastman School of Music. He is going into his second-year at Eastman pursuing a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in percussion performance. In 2022, Izaiah placed first in the Mcallen Wind Ensemble Concerto Competition.

Izaiah is the recipient of the Chautauqua Women's Club General Scholarship, The Madge Ryan Stirniman Scholarship and The Kaylor Family Scholarship.
