Hailey Gutowski
Soprano

Hailey Gutowski, soprano, from Green Bay, WI, just finished her Master of Music in Voice Performance at San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) where she studied with Rhoslyn Jones. At the Conservatory, she performed in various opera scenes from Mozart to Strauss to Jake Heggie and studied the role of La bergère in L’enfant et les sortilèges. Over the summer of 2022, she was an understudy for and did a concert performance of Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) at the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory. Before attending SFCM, she received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Drake University in Des Moines, IA, while studying with Leanne Freeman-Miller. During her undergraduate education, she performed the roles of Frasquita (Carmen), Mrs, Meg Page (Falstaff), and Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) through Drake Opera Theater and The Opera Project Des Moines. During this time, she also performed the soprano solos in Requiem by John Rutter and Messiah by Handel with the Plymouth Church in Des Moines. Hailey was also the recipient of various awards including Drake University Orchestra Concerto Competition winner and Drake University Honors Recital winner. She is excited to present the roles of Ciesca (Gianni Schicchi) and the Owl (L’enfant et les sortilèges) this summer at the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory, and she will be returning to SFCM next school year to receive a Professional Studies Certificate.

Hailey is the recipient of the Marianne Elser Markham Endowment Fund.
