Lily Jonsson
Viola

Lily Jonsson is a 19-year-old violist from Seattle, Washington. Lily is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at the Juilliard School as a Jerome L. Greene Fellow, studying under Professor Carol Rodland. Her former teachers include Roxanna Patterson and Laura Coronel. Lily took classes from the Seattle Conservatory of Music and was a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony from 2016-2022. She was also the second-prize winner of the 2022 WMEA State Solo and Ensemble Contest in the Viola Solo category. Lily is also a long-time pianist, and was a gold medalist of the Seattle International Piano Competition Virtuoso Festival and Chopin Northwest piano competitions. In her free time, Lily very much enjoys cooking and baking.

Lily is the recipient of the Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Nobel Scholarship and The Reed Family Scholarship.
