Alexander Lake is a bassoonist entering his third year of undergraduate studies at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music. He is pursuing a degree in Music Performance, and currently studies with David McGill. Previous teachers include Marc Goldberg, Gina Cuffari, and Clare Payne. He has performed in various master classes taught by Dennis Michel, Andrew Brady, Ben Roidl-Ward, and Tariq Masri. Alexander is very grateful for the opportunity to make music with the Music School Festival Orchestra this summer, and excited to share it with the Chautauqua community.

Alexander is the recipient of the Mary Elizabeth Peffer Music Scholarship and The Reed Family Scholarship.
