Nathalie Graciela Vela graduated with her masters at the New England Conservatory in 2023 where she studied with the principal of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, John Ferrillo. Nathalie has had all of her training through the John Mack tradition, which she is extremely proud and thankful for. During her undergraduate degree she attended the Jacobs School of Music where she studied with Linda Strommen. And last summer attended the Kent Blossom Summer Music Festival where she studied with Frank Rosenwein, principal of The Cleveland Orchestra and Jeffrey Rathbun, associate principal of The Cleveland Orchestra. Ms. Vela is originally from San Antonio, Texas where she found her true love for her community. She uses this skill of encouraging a culture of togetherness in all of the ensembles she’s in and believes in the power of self liberation.

Nathalie is the recipient of the Barton Family Scholarship and the Joseph Clarke Scholarship Fund.
