Carlos Chacon
Violin

Carlos Chacon is a talented violinist hailing from Venezuela. He embarked on his violin studies at the age of 7 through the renowned El Sistema program. Showing exceptional talent, Carlos was admitted to the Simon Bolivar Music Conservatory in Caracas, where pursued specialized academic training in music. In 2016, he took another significant step in his career by joining the Caracas Symphony Orchestra. During this time, he received guidance from esteemed maestros such as Camilo Acosta and José Francisco del Castillo. Their dedication and talent led him to become a member of the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra in 2018, under the baton of maestro Gustavo Dudamel, with this orchestra, embarked on international tours to countries including Spain, Italy, Russia, and Turkey, bringing their music to diverse audiences worldwide and showcasing their passion for the violin. Currently, he is honing their skills as a student of Almita Vamos at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, affiliated with Roosevelt University.

Carlos is the recipient of The Penrose-Mahaffey Scholarship Fund.
