Amelia Posner-Hess
Violin

Amelia Posner-Hess, 19, is a violinist from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She currently studies at the Eastman School of Music with Professor Renee Jolles. Amelia has recently served as concertmaster of the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra, and her string quartets have won first place in the Charleston International Chamber Music Competition and the Bellegrande International Music Competition in 2021 and 2022. In 2022 and 2023 she was a finalist in the North Carolina Symphony Concerto Competition. Before beginning her undergraduate degree, Amelia studied with Professor Fabian Lopez. Past summer festivals include the Heifetz Music Institute, Richard Luby International Violin Symposium, Meadowmount School of Music, and Eastern Music Festival.

Amelia is the recipient of the Craig J Luchsinger Memorial Scholarship, The Josette and Ronald Rolley Scholarship, and The Carnahan-Jackson Scholarship Fund.
