Gabrielle Samuel is a native of San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, who holds a BA in Dance from Washington University in St Louis. Gabrielle's dancing is founded in various Western and Africana dance techniques, including Horton, Contemporary Modern, Afro-pop, Afro-Contemporary and Fagan Technique. She has worked with choreographers Raja Feather Kelly, Ronald K Brown, Cecil Slaughter, Kirven Douthit-Boyd and Jillene Forde, among others. Gabrielle joined Garth Fagan Dance in 2021, and became a Principal Dancer in 2022. She is also the Director's Intern for the Garth Fagan Dance Student Ensemble. When Gabby isn't at the studio, she is dancing on sidewalks, chatting with neighbors and trees, writing, or watching TV.
