Alison Kessler

Alison Kessler is a soprano from New Rochelle, NY studying with William Burden at The Juilliard School. Recent performances include scenes from “L’Incoronazione di Poppea” (Monteverdi), “The Medium” (Menotti), “L’Elisir d’Amore” (Donizetti), and “Suleika I and II” at the Juilliard Songbook. Last summer, Kessler was a Bori Grant recipient and traveled to Italy to study Italian at Scuola Leonardo da Vinci, and to Nice, France to study at the Académie Internationale D’été De Nice with Lorraine Nubar, Dario Vagliengo, and Alessandro Zuppardo. Kessler was a finalist in the 2021 YoungArts National Competition. In addition, she was a winner of the 2021 Schmidt Undergraduate Vocal Competition, earned first place in the 2020 Schmidt Vocal Competition NY Cohort, and participated in the Schmidt Vocal Institute where she studied with JJ Pena, Nicole Cabelle, and Craig Terry. Kessler graduated from Juilliard Pre-College after two years of study, and now serves as the Teaching Assistant for the Voice Program. She also received the George London Foundation Scholarship during her time at Pre-College.

Alison is the recipient of the Hebrew Congregation Voice Award and The Chautauqua Voice Scholarship.
