Violist EMAD ZOLFAGHARI studies with Hsin-Yun Huang at the Curtis Institute of Music. He is the First Prize winner of the 2023 Irving M. Klein International String Competition and Morningside Music Bridge Competition, Second Prize winner of the 2022 Johansen International String Competition, and Third Prize winner of the 2023 OSM String Competition. Other awards include prizes at the OMNI Music Competition, Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra Competition, Guelph Symphony Orchestra Competition, Oakville Chamber Orchestra Competition, Ronald Sachs International Music Competition, and Shean Strings Competition. Mr. Zolfaghari appeared as soloist with several symphony orchestras, including l’Orchestre Métropolitain, Montreal Symphony, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Oakville Chamber Orchestra, and National Metropolitan Philharmonic. He attended Morningside Music Bridge summer festival on full scholarship, Center Stage Strings festival as a junior faculty member, Perlman Music Program, and Music from Angel Fire.
