Claire Coven, mezzo-soprano, is a third-year undergraduate at the Manne School of Music studying with William Burden and Cristina Stanescu. This year, she will debut as L'enfant in Ravel's L’enfant et les Sortilèges and cover Myrrhine and Sappho in Mark Adamo's Lysistrata, or the Nude Goddess, with Mannes Opera. Previous roles with Mannes Opera include Third Knabe in Die Zauberflöte and Pane cover in La Calisto. Recent performances include Lisetta cover in Crispino e la Comare with Teatro Nuovo, Meg Page in the Falstaff Quartet with CLA Italy, Ensemble Mezzo in Il Tabarro with On Site Opera, and a solo recital of Brahms, Bellini, and Schubert at the Klavierhaus as part of the Open Note Solo Recital Festival.
